Allow me to explain the symbolism here! Maddie's beret, being blue, represents Canada's UN involvement (our peacekeeping forces being known as the "Blue Berets." Her dress is 'ice blue,' like our famous winters. Reya, on the other hand, has a dress that has the same basic colour scheme as the Congressional Medal of Honor, to depict their military strength. Her pose shows freedom, instead of the usual eagle (it was kind of tough to work an eagle into the picture XD)
